Course #1: Literary Devices

Welcome!  This course designed to help you master the art of literary devices. Literary devices are essential tools that writers use to enhance their storytelling and make their writing more engaging. In this course, you will learn about metaphors, similes, perspective, and onomatopoeia. Understanding these devices will not only improve your reading comprehension but also enhance your writing skills, making your stories and essays more vivid and impactful.

Metaphors and Similes: Learn how to compare two different things to create strong images and convey deeper meanings.

Course Structure:
Our course is structured to provide a balanced mix of lectures and interactive activities for continued practice.  The videos are short so at to deliver the basic explanations of each device and how they are used.  Each lesson includes an interactive quiz worksheet and extended practice to ensure understanding.

Course #2: Grammar

What will be taught?
In this course, you will master the fundamentals of grammar, focusing on sentence types, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adjectives. You'll learn how to identify and use these elements effectively to create clear and engaging sentences.

Topics Covered:

Sentence Types: Understand and construct simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences.
Nouns and Verbs: Identify different types of nouns and verbs and learn how to use them correctly.
Adjectives and Adverbs: Explore how adjectives can enhance your writing by adding detail and depth.

Class Structure:
The class is organized into three main sections, each dedicated to one of the core topics. Each section includes short instructional videos that provide clear definitions, examples, and guided practice.
