Mini Courses and Passive Income

“The World Economic Forum estimates that 65% of kids today will end up in careers that don’t even exist yet.”

How many current jobs do you think won’t exist anymore?  Honestly think about it.  Can your job be replaced with AI?

Did you know…
Over 44% of Americans have a side hustle and most households are a meager $400 away from not being able to pay their monthly bills.

Even if you haven’t started creating your course or if you have and you’re ready to scale, if you can dedicate 30 minutes a day to reach your goal, you could earn that $400 or more!

If the idea of creating a course and the content seems daunting, use the same technology that’s taking over jobs to create your course.  I recently released the mini course showing you how to use ChatGPT and Canva to create a course.  This new mini course is all about making eBooks!  Thanks to your suggestions and a recent clarity call I had with a client, I’m providing the most basic steps needed to create an eBook to help you earn passive income.

Get this guide to learn how to easily make eBooks, templates, workbooks, and other digital products.
Of course, after I made that mini course, I thought about the next biggest hurdle…marketing!  This mini course will walk you through the basics of social media marketing without running paid ads AND show you how to increase your visibility through proposals, collaborations, and outreach.

PASSIVE INCOME IDEAS

Passive income ideas for educators can be a great way to supplement your income while leveraging your expertise and knowledge. Here are some passive income ideas specifically tailored for educators (but with a lil’ tweaking, anyone with an expertise or passion to teach others about their skill can do these things too):

  1. Create Online Courses: Develop and sell online courses on platforms like Udemy, Teachable, or Skillshare. Once the course is created, it can generate income as students enroll and access the material.

  2. Write and Sell eBooks: Write educational eBooks on topics related to your expertise and publish them on platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. You can earn royalties from each sale.

  3. Membership Sites: Create a membership site where you offer exclusive content, resources, or live webinars to paying members. Subscriptions can provide a steady stream of passive income.

  4. Digital Downloads and Printables: Design and sell digital downloads, such as educational worksheets, lesson plans, or classroom resources, on marketplaces like Teachers Pay Teachers.

  5. Audio Courses or Podcasts: Record audio versions of your lessons or create educational podcasts that can be accessed and purchased by learners.

  6. Affiliate Marketing: Partner with educational companies or platforms and promote their products or services through affiliate marketing. Earn a commission for each referral or sale made through your unique affiliate link.

  7. YouTube Ad Revenue: Start a YouTube channel where you share educational content. You can earn passive income through ad revenue from YouTube’s monetization program.

  8. Online Tutoring: Offer online tutoring services through platforms like Wyzant or VIPKid. Once you set up your profile and availability, you can earn income from tutoring sessions.

  9. Sell Educational Printables on Etsy: Create and sell educational printables, such as classroom decor, flashcards, or educational games, on Etsy.

  10. License Your Content: License your educational materials, such as curriculum plans or educational videos, to schools, institutions, or other educators.

  11. Online Quizzes and Assessments: Develop and sell online quizzes or assessments on specific subjects or topics that students and educators can purchase.

  12. Dropshipping Educational Products: Set up an online store and use dropshipping to sell educational products, such as books, learning materials, or educational toys.

Remember that building passive income streams may require upfront effort and time investment. However, once established, these income sources can continue to generate revenue while allowing educators to share their expertise and contribute to the educational community.
